The prosecutor is a Minister of Justice. The prosecutor’s duties should be pursued with a single-minded responsibility to prosecute on behalf of the public. The prosecutor must exercise independent professional judgement in the public interest.

Being a prosecutor is an honorable profession. It requires more than advocacy. It requires good judgement and common sense. A prosecutor who acts with competence and diligence, and remembers his role as a Minister of Justice will be able to look at his service with pride.
